I worked on a prototype for Verizon to help make the plan choosing at Verizon easier and more hands on. It consisted of a WebGL frontend web app with a websocket server that would publish events from a C++ server reading 3d point data from a Microsoft Kinect. A user would pick up a data usage plan pass and than anytime a pass got closer to a phone it would gleam, pulsate and get brighter until it was over the phone and an adjusted plan with a monthly cost would appear.
One of the most viral tech campaigns I worked on was making it possible to call someone in Minecraft using the “Verizon Network”. This consisted of about 5 minecraft plugins I had to develop, a WebRTC client and server to facilate video calling, and a custom made codec written in Python to generate video to minecraft boxes and match to a color palette.
